Compelled 04:23
COMPELLED I am compelled to raise my voice and make a noise that will not sell. What's the point of pouring out my soul in a world that's digging rock n' roll? When days are filled up to the brim, it's madness working on a whim, and still... I am compelled. The gallery is lined with fine and mediocre and profound. Some pieces speak while others spite, the difference is never quite unwound. Blue on blue is nothing new, I'm sure that I could make that too, and still... You are compelled. To the makers and the dreamers, hold your hands out to the fray. There are takers and there are schemers Who will lay you low, before they walk away. All the makers and the dreamers hold their hands out to the fray. They are shakers and believers who will lay it down and watch you walk away. I say... Sing on, sing on. Make a sight and make a sound 'til you are gone. Sing on, sing on. Write it down, spiral bound, and carry on. These words poured on a page dig in, lift up, and disengage the fight. Fumbling forevermore and falling down upon the floor each night. What can save my life today might be the things I sing and play alone. And I do it over and over again. Wait for it.

I Am 02:29
I AM I tally all of the falls I've had and try, try again. Why work it up into feeling bad when I am? I'm holding out for a better deal, so try, try this hand. Why live it up in the highlight reel when I am? In a holy life, I fold like a pocket knife, I am. Sharp on the inside, nothing but true. Hold me down and I will cut you. Nobody's got it all figured out and so belong. Show up and show me all about the goings on. Grow up and give it up because we know the play. You blow it up and wonder why I stow away. On a paper plane, be gone. With a different name, move on. Sharp on the inside, nothing but true. Fold me over, I will shut you. I am - you are - he, she, it is - they are fine. Patience in the moment when we intertwine. I am - you are - he, she, it is - they are more. I am what I am and that's all that I am, and I am forged. In a golden blade, I roll. Like a promenade, I am. Sharp on the inside nothing but true, Lay the landmines I will strut through.

I Know 02:19
I KNOW I know in my heart of hearts it'll never be enough, I will never measure up, and still... I just keep giving. And you take, you take, You take it all and ask for more. Evermore, forever more you yearn. I know in my heart of hearts it'll never be enough, I will never measure up, and still... I just keep asking. I know in my heart of hearts I'm the one that starts it all. And still I just keep striving.... To be more than the sum of all my faulty parts. I'll be more than the sum of everything I'm not. I know in my heart of hearts, In my heart of hearts I know.

Baby Grand 02:42
BABY GRAND Shoulda, woulda, coulda never gone away. In a moment it's a minor role to play. Where's the glory? Mandatory. Find it or we stray. Shoulda, woulda, coulda never had a doubt. In a moment it's a minor falling out. Hold the call. Folderol. Soon they all will say... Shoulda, woulda, coulda never gone away. In a moment it's a minor role to play. Hold me up, hold me down. Hold me under 'til I drown. I will stay. I will play. I will never go away.

Enough 02:40
ENOUGH When you look to me and I'm goin' down, Gotta find another way around. When you call my name, and you call my bluff, And I've had enough, I've had enough. Of hallelujahs and how-do-ya's, and "You're rollin' in the glow," Look between the lines. Find a mind that going down. When you cannot see that the path is wrought, And my hands are holding all I’ve got. And I'm droppin' lies, droppin' days like flies, And I've had enough, I've had enough. Of hallelujahs and how-do-ya's, and "You're rollin' in the glow," Look between the lines. Find a mind that going down. We all are doing well, Except for when we're not. Hallelujah, I see through you, and you’re rollin' in that glow. Look between the lines. Find a light that's calling down. When you look to me and I'm goin' down, Gotta find another way around. When you call my name, and you call my bluff, And I've had enough, I've had enough.

Weekend 03:23
WEEKEND Monday I am full of hope, the best is yet to come. Tuesday's tickin' off the time to get the do-list done. Wednesday is the longest day, the longest day by far. Thursday finds me fading fast, Friday crying in my car. I want a weekend, I want a day to call my own. I want a weekend, I want to stay with you at home. I want a minute, an hour, in my PJs, no shower. I want a weekend, I want a weekend. Saturday looks limitless until we see the list. One more check-off and another mess, the day is over and I've had no rest. Sunday feels like half a day, the week ahead looms large. Caught up in ambition leaves no time to recharge. I want a weekend, I want a day to call my own. I want a weekend, I want to stay with you at home. I want a minute, an hour, in my PJs, no shower. I want a weekend, I want a weekend. Workin' 8 to 4 and then you work a little longer. Give and give some more, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Working 4 to 12 and then to sleep to find relief. I don't want to be stronger, I just want to breathe. I want a weekend, I want a weekend. Wanna go? No! Can you come? No! Will you do? No! I want a weekend.

Apart 02:08
APART If you don't wanna be part of this, my darlin' step aside. I'm born and bred in heartache, and I'm feelin' pretty shy. But in my darkest moment, I've got history to ride. So you don't have to be part of this, my darlin’ step aside. I'll write into the night and I won't hide. You don't get to decide. Holding onto nothin' when there's nothin' underneath. Seems I've stumbled into somethin’ that can bring relief. So watch me hold it high, deny the reigning unbelief. Holding onto somethin', seems theres somethin' underneath. No more falling out over my grief. Now I see it’s... My voice. My choice. My understanding in a word or two, I'll call the fall my own. I'm gonna take it without you. If you don't wanna be part of this, then I release the call. Carry on in gladness, while I carry on the haul. There's a yearning burning through, I'll own it after all. So you don't have to be part of this, I'm finally standing tall with... My voice. My choice. My understanding in a word or two, I'll call the fall my own. Not gonna make it about you.

This Body 03:35
THIS BODY The news came today. Still we don't know any more than before. Guess I'll try to pray, But what's the answer that I'm looking for? I don't know what to do with this. And this body's got a hope inside it. Can we dare to find another way? Or is this all we can show for trying, Tears and clay? I don't know what to do with this. Are you going far? Is it time to weigh the days? And do you have the heart, To account for all that you raised? And this body's got a hope inside it, Redeeming all that was said and done. Letting go when there's no call to fight it, Overcome. So we wait.

IN THIS W/YOU When you reach for me, I wanna take your hand. Fingers intertwine in a palm line land. We breathe the years away in a single sigh. I wanna make it stay, I wanna make it. Hold me to you. Know me and choose. When I look at you, can't forget to see, The one I wanna want to wanna be with me. In the quiet place, do not look away. Can you find a trace of what we cannot say? Some days the work is hard, gotta make a call. I wanna take it in, I wanna take it all the way. We fall each day. Call my name. I'll fall the same. I could never hope to find any other place to dwell a lifetime. And I could ever hope to be, in this with you. Want me and know me. Choosing every day to love a lifetime. Oh, take it slowly, this thing was meant to last. Take a look inside, find another world, Another universe, another boy and girl. Talking in the car, dancing under stars, Writing from afar, and finding who we are. The years fall away like a holiday, And I'm here to say, we're gonna make it all the way. We fall each day. Call my name. I'll fall the same. I wanna make it stay, I wanna make it.

Acadia 03:42
ACADIA See the glow on their faces. Freezing water on their skin, but they don't mind. And we know unfettered graces. Through it all, the rise and fall, this life is kind. Acadia. Walk the planks, feels like forever, Falling feet a blessed beat to our refrain. Giving thanks for this endeavor, Little fingers twine in mine, a daisy chain. Acadia. Can I hold this in my hand like a feather, Put it in my pocket, saving it forever? Hold this in my palm like a stone, Trace it with my fingers, feel it in my bones? The world is growing thinner by the firelight. Visions in a vapor, hold my breath all night. The world is growing thinner by the firelight. Visions in a vapor, hold my breath all night in... Acadia. Can I hold this in my hand like a feather, Put it in my pocket, saving it forever?

LITTLE SISTER Hey little sister, I see you. Hey little sister, I'm here. I never wanted to be you, so I disappear. The anger speaks, while the history beats in your veins. When all is done, you know you're the one who's to blame. But who is to blame when we're all dealt the same? We all got the same. We're all doing our best not to pass on the rest. We're passing on less. Hey little sister, I knew you, I've heard this story before. Spent my life looking through you, but now I'm looking for more. Born into the world, not the kind of girl called. Tries to please and brought to her knees overhauled. But who is to blame when we're all dealt the same? We all got the same. We're all doing our best not to pass on the rest. We're passing on less. We come out loud to be knocked down in a moment. We beg for worth, it's there from birth, if we know it. Hey little sister, I love you. Hey little sister, I'm here. Our past is hanging above you, but you're the one to break clear. You're the one to break clear.

Shameless 04:07
SHAMELESS In the corner and I'm covered agian. Wanting what my world will never contain. Hold me up in a breath, I am left... Owning my desire. Holding onto fire. Light up the pyre, and watch it burn. In the corner looking over my shame, Of a wanting that I cannot name. Fold me up in the cost, I am lost. Owning my desire. Holding onto fire. Light up the pyre, and watch it burn. My name is written on your hand. Call me, I'm yours. In the corner and I'm covered again, covered again. Grace is pulsing under the skin, over my skin. Pull me up, give a hand, I will stand. Owning my desire. Holding onto fire. Light up the pyre, and watch it burn. Watch me burn.

Golden 04:23
GOLDEN In a breath this will all be over, So look around here, take it in. It's no less than a four-leaf clover, Where we've landed, and where we've been. But the mind is a wonder, and I find I'm buried under, so... Let me out, let me out of here. Take my hand, we will soon be golden, So raise a glass to the tired days. When they're gone we will be left holding Picture postcards of what was raised. But the mind is a wonder, and I find I'm buried under, so... Let me out, let me out of here. Water, water all around, but not a drop to drink. How to wither while you drown? Just swallow 'til you sink. Water, water all around, but not a drop to drink. How to find the solid ground? Just crawl up to the brink of what you know. What I've always known. Step into, step into the minute. I am here, I'm living in it, And my eyes, oh, my eyes are open. Right here, right now, Some way, somehow, I am free.
